Telepopmusik - Genetic World
In a rare event of generosity, i've decided to rummage through my vault of collection to share with you my taste in music. For this particular excursion (into the perilous vault), i emerge with an album i can only best describe as weird. Then again, most of my albums are non-mainstream or weird to begin with..but i digress. This time around, i would like to present to you, the debut album by French electronic group, Telepopmusik with their album Genetic World.(nope, i didn't bother getting their second album, Angel Milk).
yes. i actually buy REAL, ORIGINAL albums. (sometimes... well..)
Though Telepopmusik might sound foreign to most people out there, i dare say that somehow or somewhat, you've come across their song Breathe.(a short snippet of the song was once used by VH1 during their intermissions) For those who haven't, (or heck, for those who have), Breathe is a slightly surreal sounding song with haunting vocals infused with slight electronica sounds. Nothing that'll turn off you people who have a disdain for electronic music. Syprux's Haunting Melodrama presents: Breathe by Telepopmuzik An interesting to watch out for while watching this video, would be to make sense of it is trying to convey.
With Breathe out of the way, i now switch my attention to my personal favourite track of this album: Love Can Damage Your Health. I'm attracted to the style that this song is presented. Sounds like it's being played from an old gramophone and yet still has that catchy consistent beat to not make it sound ancient. Look out for the violin ensemble halfway through the song.
Syprux's Haunting Melodrama presents: Love Can Damage Your Health The video is a nice combination of near black and white footage of two individuals dancing. Lovely moves.
Enjoy~!
